The Ridge Fitness Group Exercise Department is here to help get you in shape! Our team of qualified instructors aims to create the best possible environment for you to experience group energy at its highest level. No matter what your fitness background is, we have a variety of classes to choose from that will not only challenge you to reach beyond your limits, but also provide you with proper instruction to ensure maximum results. From classic aerobics to cutting-edge cycle and cardio/strength formats, our Group Exercise Department gives you the tools to engage in an upbeat program and reap the benefits of group exercise!
 

CURRENT CLASS LIST:

CYCLE: Cycle training using resistance and pedal speed to create an intense and invigorating workout. For beginning to veteran cyclists. This cardiovascular/strength class is a challenging, self-paced workout guided and uses the LeMond RevMaster cycles.


SUPER RIDE: Feel your energy surge with this fun, high-powered 60 –minute indoor cycling class including drills, hills and sprints. For those individuals looking for a killer cardio and strength workout, cycling is for you! Paul instructs a safe, non-impact class which uses aerobic and anaerobic drills to challenge participants (endurance, strength and interval).


STRENGTH: A muscle strengthening class designed to improve functional strength by targeting all the major muscle groups and working them to fatigue. This class focuses on execution of proper form and technique set to upbeat music in order to keep your workout fun and interesting!


YOGA: Focus your mind & body and experience rejuvenating results with various poses and challenging movements. This is a great class connecting movement and breath to build strength, stamina, and flexibility through a flowing series of traditional yoga poses! Level I and Level II classes are available.


PILATES: Pilates improves strength, flexiblility, coordination, balance and alignment while focusing on core stabilization muscles. Experience relief from stress as you enjoy this revitalizing method of mind/body conditioning based on the philosophy of J.H. Pilates. Advanced level pilates is also available.


CLASSICAL STRETCH: This zero impact class combines stretching and isometric movement to re-balance the body, increase range of motion, and build long slender muscle. This is a trademarked scientifically proven technique that has become part of the training programs for many professional and Olympic athletes, yet its perfect for ANY fitness level


BODY SHOCK: Are you ready for a total body experience? This class is an exhilarating cardio and strength workout! Kelly’s Body Shock class will consist of a 35-minute cardio routine followed by 15 minutes of weights/squats/lunges and 10 minutes of abs and cool down. Open to all fitness levels.


EXTREME CARDIO: If you are looking for a fun high cardio workout, this class is for you! This popular combination of cardio kick and box aerobics will work your entire body while providing maximum calorie burn. Class will finish with a well deserved cool down and stretch. All fitness levels are welcome.


STEP N STRENGTH: This class consists of movements on and off the step with high energy intervals between step patterns. The step combinations are complex movements that are also user friendly and suitable for any fitness level. The cardio portion of the class is mixed in with strength training intervals targeting 2-3 muscle groups, an ab session, and relaxing stretch. It is the perfect way to get your full cardio & strength workout in to start your weekend off right.


POWER STEP: A high-powered Step class designed for intermediate to advanced steppers. Multiple steps may be used to increase intensity and keep this energetic class a favorite with Step enthusiasts. Class begins with a traditional warm up and ends with ab work and cool down on the floor.


TOTAL BODY BLAST: An exhilarating cardio/strength workout! Body Blast will consist of a 45 minute cardio routine, 10 minute abdominal circuit, and a 5 minute cool down. No upper body weights. This class will emphasize a long cardio burn (stimulating fat-loss) and ab-work (nobody makes themselves do enough ab work solo!!) Open to all fitness levels.


ZUMBA: The Zumba® program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. Our goal is simple: We want you to want to work out, to love working out, to get hooked. Zumba® Fanatics achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exciting hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!


50+ FIT: 50+ Fit is a full-body strength workout designed for the active older 50+ adult to improve physical conditioning levels. Class will utilize bands, dumbbells and stability balls. You'll achieve muscle definition, improve balance and build up core strength in a fun and safe environment. All fitness levels welcome to attend! Free for members. One time punch cards are available for non-members.


YOUTHFUL YOGA, SERIOUS SPEED & KID CARDIO: All youth programs are available weekly! Please see Youth Brochures for more information on each class and their fees.
